Some think of a coach as someone who stomps around blowing a whistle, slamming clipboards on the ground and screaming into athletes' faces; an individual whose job it is to physically and emotionally break an athlete down before building them back up again. We don't believe in that old paradigm of coaching here. We believe a coach is a mentor; a teacher above all else. We inspire. We develop. We care. We refer to our facility as our Dojo which literally means Place of the Way. It's where we, as coaches, share our passion and knowledge of sports performance with young athletes in hopes of showing them the way to reaching their true potential. We are role models. We are motivators. We are friends. We are Parisi.

Hi there, I'm Nate Korkut, the coach in charge of heading up this amazing crew here at CG|Parisi. I've been with Cross Gates Parisi since it's opening in January of 2011. I'm a Certified Parisi Coach, Certified Speed and Agility Coach, NASM Peformance Enhancement Specialist, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, TRX Certified and, ACE Certified Personal Trainer. I'm also a graduate of Slidell High School and the Univerisity of New Orleans. With all that said, paper doesn't make a great coach. Passion does. The only thing that matters to me is the success of every athlete who walks into our program. Whatever it takes to make them better as athletes and future members of society is my personal mission. I was part of the original team that opened up this Parisi facility back in January 2011, and have been blessed to work with many outstanding young individules druing that time. I find that humor and high energy helps me connect with many of our athletes, and keeps them coming back. Who wouldn't want to train at a facility that actually makes you faster, while laughing, smiling and having fun at the same time?

Now, this is a story all about how | Joe's life got flipped-turned upside down | And I'd like to take a minute | Just sit right there | I'll tell you how I became a soccer coach somewhere. | In Slidell, Louisiana coach Joe was raised. | At Parisi is where he spent most of his days. | Chillin out maxin and relaxin all cool. | He played some soccer outside of school. | Some kids he coach started looking pretty good. | Always playing soccer in the neighborhood. | They beat one big team. Other coaches got scared. | People said ‘Oh man, my kid needs to train there!’ | He hopped in his car and Parisi got near. | The license plate said soccer academy with cleats in the mirror. | If anything I wondered if this coach was rare | But I thought ‘Nah, forget it’ – ‘He’s the best coach there! | He pulled up to Parisi about seven or eight. | And yelled to other places ‘yo homes smell ya later’. | He looked at Parisi. | He was finally there. | To sit as the lead of the Parisi Soccer Academy.
