Stephanie Howell - Fitness Director

Stephanie has a BS Degree in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University. She has worked at Cross Gates since 1999 and really enjoys interacting with people who are making lifestyle
changes, one workout at a time. She loves being a part of helping members become healthier and stronger. Steph works as the Fitness and Group Fitness Director and is also involved in sports, aquatic, and senior programming, along with customer service and member retention.

Steve Kirk - Premier Personal Trainer

Steve is AFAA and Apex certified with years of experience in exercise and health promotion.  He has his degree in Criminal Justice from SLU and understands the delicate balance between food and exercise to attain the benefits that a healthy lifestyle can offer.  With a wide variety of experience working with individuals at Cross Gates, he has an ability to direct others towards the achievement of any goal.  With Steve's precise instruction and your determination, failure will no longer be an option.

Katrina Grossnickle - Premier Personal Trainer

Katrina is all about results!! She trains a wide variety of clients with one thing in common – achieving goals. Katrina believes that fitness is a way of life. Not only does she preach a healthy lifestyle to each and every client, she lives and breathes fitness.   She is a National level figure competitor and holds a few local and regional titles.   In 2004 she won the overall title at the NPC Battle of Biloxi bodybuilding and figure championships, the overall title at the NGA Natural Louisiana bodybuilding and figure championships, and the overall title at the NPC Heart of Dixie bodybuilding and figure championships. In 2005 she won the overall title at the NPC Louisiana Figure Championships. She has also been featured in Southern Muscle magazine as well as Oxygen magazine. Katrina strives to not only have her clients meet their goals, but to exceed them.

Kelly R. Guillory - Executive Personal Trainer

Kelly has been a certified personal trainer since 1988. Her certifications include AFAA, IDEA, ACE, and NASM. In 2005 she achieved Professional Bodybuilder status with WNSO, a drug tested organization. With an education in sports medicine and a lifestyle that breathes “fitness”, Kelly is ready to lead you on your journey to health and/or athletic conditioning.

Cindy Jackson - Master Personal Trainer

Cindy has been a personal trainer at Cross Gates for 16 years. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and fitness levels, but specializes in working with the mature client and others with limitations such as fibromyalgia, joint problems, back pain, stroke and Parkinson's. Helping people relieve their pain and become more functional again is very rewarding to Cindy. She teaches water aerobics, seated chair class and Body Vive. Cindy is currently certified with NASM and does ongoing studies for special populations. Cindy also lectures on what everyone can do to slow down their aging process. Cindy believes that through strength training, you can look, feel and function as if you are years younger.

Fred Zoller - Executive Personal Trainer

 
Fred is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, International Sport Sciences Association and Cooper Institute for providing dietary guidance. Fitness and nutrition have been a passion for him all of his life. He has spent many years of his life working with people on the importance of proper nutrition while applying it to his own lifestyle. In his beginning years, he completed hundreds of hours of personal training himself which he credits to his passion. His focus is not strictly on weight loss or gain but complete health and wellness. He believes that with proper education in nutrition, exercise and healthy living, everyone can reach their highest potential!

Brant Peddy - Premier Personal Trainer

Brant has his Personal Training Certification through NSCA. He is currently a student at the University of New Orleans working towards his degree in Psychology.  Brant believes that working hard will achieve optimum results.  He believes that obstacles don't have to stop you.  If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.  Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it......and Brant can help you figure that out in your fitness challenges.

Suzy Shafor - Master Personal Trainer

Suzy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and has worked as an Intensive Care nurse for 21 years. She started teaching group exercise 25 years ago and fell in love with helping people improve their level of fitness and feel better. As an ACE certified Personal Trainer she enjoys using her passion for fitness to help people on a more individual level to grow and accomplish their fitness goals. Suzy’s other certifications include ACE group exercise, Body Pump, Body Combat, and
indoor cycling.

Danielle Kifer - Executive Personal Trainer

Danielle has been in the fitness industry since 1995, with previous experience in Pennsylvania and California. She is certified with NASM, ISSA, and APEX nutritional consulting. She is also a National and Junior National figure competitor.

Nichole Gagnon - Certified Cross Gates Master Trainer

Nichole is a certified personal trainer with several years in the fitness industry.  She joined the United States Marine Corps in 2000 and has since been living and teaching the importance of a healthy lifestyle.  Her dedication and motivation to challenge herself is just a glimpse of what you'll experience as her client.  She will push you to greater heights, expect your all, and motivate you to exceed your personal goals.  As a Nationally qualified Figure Competitor, Nichole understands the importance of nutrition, discipline, determination, and will.  Whatever you goal, Nichole can lead you to it!

Jay Fournet - Master Personal Trainer

Jay has been a member of Cross Gates for 15 years.  He believes that with hard work and dedication you can reach the goals you set for yourself.  Not only will he motivate you to achieve your goals, he will encourage you to exceed them.  Jay enjoys working with, and being surrounded by people committed to living healthy so that they can live longer.  No matter what your fitness level, Jay is ready to assist you in achieving your maximum potential, one session at a time!

Sharon Bouche - Master Personal Trainer

Sharon achieved her personal trainer’s certification through AFAA, holds a nutrition counseling certificate and an Associate of Business Administration degree, as well. She got her start in the health and fitness field through her own personal experience right here at Cross Gates Family Fitness Center a few years ago. Her passion for health and fitness led her to seek a position as a Fitness Coach in Body Motion, an award winning weight circuit training program. As one of the original Fitness Coaches, she still enjoys working in Body Motion and believes that proper form and technique is critical to achieving results and preventing injuries. Sharon believes that a healthy diet combined with daily exercise is essential in achieving weight loss and a lifestyle with favorable health benefits. While Sharon can instruct in a variety of exercise routines, she believes that circuit training is one of the quickest ways to achieve results. Having fun while getting fit is her motto!

Sheri Sledge - Master Personal Trainer

Strength is more than a physical capacity; it is a will to succeed.  With a little motivation, drive and someone to hold a person accountable, anyone can reach his or her goal.  Sheri is a dedicated Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer with 6 years of hands on experience in personal training and over 10 years experience in the fitness industry. Her career as a personal trainer began here at Cross Gates in 2003 and has taken off from there.  She has travelled to different cities to expand her knowledge and experience as a trainer, leader, and motivator.  Sheri has assisted many clients in reaching their weight loss goals and improving health.  She has certifications with AFAA, Les Mills, and Apex nutrition. She is also Body Bugg certified. When not on the gym floor training clients one on one, she can also be found motivating members in the group fitness studio.

Michelle Partridge - Master Personal Trainer

Michelle has a BS in nursing she is the Director of Women and Children Services at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Her goal is to incorporate health and wellness into her daily life both for work and play. She is certified as a personal trainer through AFAA. Michelle is the instructor of one of our newest programs, “Moms in Motion”. If you are pregnant, just had a baby, or just wanting to get in shape, Michelle is the trainer for you.

Ashley Hardy - Master Personal Trainer and RRCA Running Coach

Ashley has been an avid runner for the past 20 years, starting in high school as team captain of her track and cross country teams. She started training runners while in high school and has been training people to run for many years. In 2002, she graduated with her bachelors degree in Nursing from Nicholls State University and worked at Ochsner Hospital in the Heart Transplant and Coronary Care Units for over four years. She is AFFA certified and became accredited through RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) in Portland, Oregon and also ran the Portland, Oregon Marathon. Ashley is the only RRCA certified marathon trainer on the Northshore. This certification allows Ashley to train beginning runners to accomplished marathoners. Ashley has participated in numerous road races from 5K’s, 10K’s, over 20 half-marathons, 25K’s, 30K’s and 2 full marathons to date. The marathon is her favorite distance to race and train for, and she currently runs 60-70+ miles per week.

Ashley is responsible for the Cross Gates Running Club, Marathon training programs, and daily group runs. Running is her passion and she wants to share her experiences with training and racing to assist other runners with accomplishing their goals. Ashley educates her runners on healthy eating, hydrating, proper training, mental focusing, race preparation tactics etc. She prides herself on getting people into the best shape of their life, mentally and physically through running.

Ashlie Boteler - Master Personal Trainer

As a motivator, role model, and leader, Ashlie's experience in the health and fitness industry dates back to 2003. She earned her BA degree in Health & Kinesiology from the University of Texas. She is certified under the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is also AFAA Group Exercise certified. Ashlie's boundless energy and devotion to helping others enables her to be a life coach to those she trains. By imparting her unique and inspiring philosophy to her clients, stressing the integration of fitness, nutrition, and behavioral changes, Ashlie empowers individuals to define and reach personal goals. She believes that with a little faith partnered with a lot of motivation, that any goal in life can be achieved. She enjoys giving her clients that extra boost of motivation, as well as, holding them accountable for their goals and commitments. No one should be exempt from reaching their optimum health and Ashlie wants to coach you along your journey.
